Studio DanReiser (SDR) played a key role in bringing Olaf Breuning’s public art installation, Clouds, back to New York City’s Garment District. SDR led the project across all phases—including presentation development, curation, de-installation, and final site execution. Working closely with the artist, structural engineers, rigging crews, and graphic designers, SDR ensured seamless technical alignment and operational success.
At Art Omi, Clouds existed within an expansive landscape, where open sky, changing light, and distance became part of the work. In Manhattan, the sculpture takes on a different life. Set within the density and vertical scale of the city, Clouds enters into direct dialogue with architecture, movement, traffic, and the daily rhythms of the street. The work remains unchanged, but its context transforms it—from an object within a landscape to an active presence within the city.
