Studio DanReiser was commissioned to develop a protection system for sculptures by Jeff Koons. The works were to be installed in Miami, within one of the most stringent hurricane code zones in the United States.
Drawing inspiration from concrete shell structures, SDR designed a lightweight, high-performance solution utilizing carbon fiber. The resulting shell system was engineered for rapid deployment and ease of installation, providing robust protection for high-value sculptures against debris impact and extreme rainfall during Category 5 hurricane conditions.
